About the role
Teach advanced elementary English learners at DL (Designlandia) English Academy in Jamsil, Seoul. You will deliver an international school English/Language Arts curriculum and help develop a growing program focused on design thinking and real-world problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Teach English/Language Arts to elementary students in grades 1–6.
- Plan and deliver lessons using provided materials and your own lesson plans.
- Grade student work, complete report cards and post homework.
- Communicate with staff about student progress and needs.
- Teach reading (novel and nonfiction), vocabulary, writing, grammar, phonics and word study.
- Lead projects that use the design thinking process.
Schedule
- Working hours: Monday–Friday, 12:30–20:30.
- Teaching hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 15:00–20:20 (max 20 teaching hours per week).
- Wednesdays used for professional development, student work analysis, collaboration and curriculum development.
- Small class size (around 8 students per class).

Requirements
- F-visa holder.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and parents.
- Preferred: teaching certificate, experience abroad or at an international school, knowledge of linguistics, second language acquisition and the science of reading.
