About the role

SMART KIDS ENGLISH SCHOOL in Songshan District, Taipei is seeking a full-time native English-speaking teacher to work with young learners aged approximately 7 to 15. The school offers a high and stable income with a well-organized curriculum and small class sizes.

Responsibilities

  • Teach English to elementary and junior high school students using the school’s curriculum and materials.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons for classes of around 10 students.
  • Teach approximately 4 to 6 classes, with most students attending 4 to 5 classes per week.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to support language development.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of eight English teachers in a friendly, professional environment.

Schedule

  • Full-time position with a minimum of 22 teaching hours per week guaranteed.
  • Afternoons and evenings on weekdays.
  • No classes on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Start date: ASAP or by December 19 (subject to mutual agreement).

Benefits

  • Annual income starting from 908,000 TWD and higher depending on experience and performance.
  • Monthly salary starting from 70,000 TWD and up.
  • Contract completion bonus of 68,000 TWD.
  • Paid public holidays.
  • 7 days of paid special leave upon contract completion (10 days in the second year, 14 days in the third year).
  • Work permit, health insurance and labor insurance provided.
  • Supportive school environment with established curriculum and resources.

Requirements

  • Native English-speaking teacher.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • More than two years of experience teaching children.
  • Willingness to commit to a one-year contract.
