About the role

Lakeside School in Neihu, Taipei is seeking a part-time English teacher (around 20 hours per week) to teach mostly grades 1 to 6 students using a well-designed American-style curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Teach elementary-aged students (primarily grades 1–6) using the school’s established curriculum.
  • Encourage student-centered learning with plenty of paired and small-group speaking practice.
  • Implement creative ideas and activities that help students love learning and make steady progress.
  • Collaborate with a friendly and supportive team and follow school procedures.

Schedule

  • Approximate weekly hours: around 20 hours per week.
  • Typical times: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 16:30–19:00; Wednesday to Friday 13:30–16:00 and 16:30–19:00.
  • Position for the 2025–2026 school year, starting around September 1.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree (or higher) from an English-speaking country.

  • Qualifying teachers must hold passports from Canada, the USA, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa.
  • Candidates must currently be in Taiwan and able to provide a Criminal Background Check or equivalent.
