About the role
The Collegiate Academy (Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do) seeks a full-time STEM Teacher to teach small classes (≈10 students) across elementary to high school. Subjects include elementary science and math, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-calculus, and one science strand aligned to your major (Biology/Chemistry/Physics). Start August 2026; 1-year contract.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver STEM lessons across multiple grade levels.
- Assess learning and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain a safe, well-managed classroom and lab environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and student support.
- Prepare a 5–10 minute pre-recorded demo lesson (STEM topic) for application.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00.
Benefits
- Salary: 2,700,000–2,800,000 KRW/month.
- Housing: apartment provided (≈20 minutes by bus) or 500,000 KRW/month allowance.
- Medical insurance and National Pension (50% provided).
- 10 days paid vacation + Korean national holidays; severance (1 month) after contract completion.
Requirements
- Degree in a STEM field.
- Citizen of US/UK/CA/IE/AU/NZ/ZA or Korean citizen with strong English (CEFR C1 / TOEFL 95 / TOEIC 800).
- Preference for candidates currently in South Korea.
- Visa documentation readiness (e.g., apostilled diploma & CRC, 120-hour TEFL/TESOL or domestic teacher certification, transcripts, ARC if applicable).
