About the role
Valor International Scholars (VIS) in Anseong seeks a qualified and passionate Art Teacher to teach a range of courses to students in grades 7–12, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and art history. VIS is a small school with small class sizes and varied course options. New faculty should be ready to teach broadly and adapt course offerings year to year to meet student needs and curriculum team strengths within a Biblical worldview.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that build technical skills and creativity across multiple art disciplines.
 - Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
 - Contribute to curriculum development and adapt courses as needed.
 - Model a Kingdom-minded approach that supports the school’s Christian mission.
 - Maintain a safe, organized studio environment, including appropriate use of materials and safety procedures.
 
Schedule
- Start date: Immediate.
 - Initial contract term: two (2) years.
 - Grades taught: 7–12 (middle and high school).

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or related field (English as the language of instruction).
 - Either completion of a teacher licensure program in an English-speaking country or at least five years of art teaching experience.
 - Commitment to integrating a Biblical worldview in the arts; active Christian faith and local church involvement.
 - Strong work ethic, role-model character, interpersonal skills, and a teachable spirit.
 - Preferred: Experience with middle and high school students; AP Art (e.g., AP Studio Art, AP Art History); skills-focused, creativity- and critical-thinking-oriented instruction; experience managing an art studio.
