About the role
- Teach EAP at Maynooth International Engineering College (MIEC) on the Fuzhou University campus.
- Max 21 teaching hours/week (45-minute classes); government and university holidays observed and fully paid.
- 2–3 year contract starting February 2026.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engaging lessons; maintain records and assess student progress.
- Mark formative and summative assessments; provide feedback.
- Support students via consultations/tutorials; populate MU virtual learning platforms.
- Collaborate with colleagues; attend mandatory meetings/trainings; invigilate exams; other reasonable duties.
Schedule
- Mon–Fri; fully paid winter and summer breaks per university schedule.
Benefits
- Salary: 18,000–21,000 CNY/month (before tax).
- Housing allowance: 1,500 CNY/month.
- Insurance provided.
- Flights: two sets of airline tickets to/from Fuzhou per academic year.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; TESOL or CELTA required.
- Minimum 2 years’ university-level teaching experience.
- Competency with MS Teams/Moodle/Office 365; eligibility for a Chinese work visa.
